Gucci is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci in Florence. Guccios son Aldo helped Gucci become a world-known brand under his direction in post-war Italy. Gucci became an icon of “Dolce Vita”, Italian for “the sweet life”. In this time Gucci launched its famous bamboo bag, loafers, and the double-G logo.
Today Gucci is the second most valuable luxury brand after Louis Vuitton. In 2015 Allesandro Michele was appointed creative director of Gucci. He brought back a lot of old Gucci classics and put a modern spin on them. Gucci has created tons of iconic designs and pieces over the years. Today some of the most popular pieces include the Dionysus bag, Ace Sneakers and the Gucci logo T-shirt.
