Fendi is an Italian fashion house founded in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome. The company first started out as a fur and leather shop. Karl Lagerfeld joined Fendi as the creative director of its fur and women’s ready-to-wear collection. Until 1999 Fendi was a family-controlled house.
Today LVMH owns the majority of the company. In 2020 Kim Jones was announced the new artistic director of Fendis women’s collection, while also being the artistic director of Dior Homme. In 2019 Fendi did a collaboration with Nicki Minaj called “Fendi Prints On”. The same year they also collaborated with Hong Kong Rapper Jackson Wang for the Asian market. Some of Fendis most popular bags include the Baguette Pouch, the Peekaboo Bag and the Mon Tresor Bag.
